The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord (武天) Bo Tien. The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affliliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven.

Completeness and emptiness are vexations in life

Know ye that life comes to a full circle and that we start with nothing or little and end up more only to have little or nothing towards the end. The process goes on again and again.

But that is alright if we are mindful that the purpose of life is to learn and improve our lot not in the worldly sense but in spirit as well. What we improve in the material sense must go to dust but that which we gain in spirit stays on, so as to make us stronger, perhaps more robust and resilient.

Emptiness and sense of completeness are just experiential aspects of phenomena. What is better is to substantiate our life more so in spirit than in flesh and blood. That which are of flesh and blood will have to return to where they came. But that which are of spirit evolves from life to life.

The circle '0' is nothing but yet depicts the wholeness of life. When life returns to nothing but dust, life becomes more whole in spirit for the one who grows in spirit.

If you realise that nothing and everything are one and yet not one, then you are on the road of insight and the beginning of realisation.

With a little or hardly any insight, you are on the way to wholeness of realisation, which will bring you to more of completeness and emptiness in every life experience.

You will be richer in spirit even if not necessarily so in flesh and blood. That which is of spirit stays on with you from life to life. But the one who grows in spirit is better than the one who grows in flesh and blood for flesh and blood do not last.

Do take care of the body of flesh and blood but treasure more the spirit of life that is you and not the dust which your body will end up as. But you can neither neglect the body of flesh and blood nor be deluded that only the spirit matters.

There must be balance and moderation for you to be at peace with life. Then you can have peace of life both mundane and spiritual.

No wonder Lord Bo Tien said that spiritual values or principles if applied to spiritual life enriches the spirit and ensure reasonable mundane life that enables more spiritual life.

But the ways of the world may not work well for long even for the mundane life and are often impediments for growth of the spirit.

Many think they are near fulfilment when they reach the apex of mundane wealth and status but life comes a full circle and the near in fulfilment may end up far from fulfilment if they are not rich in spirit.

The one who is rich in spirit though far from perceived worldly attainments with only very humble life and means may be near in fulfilment spiritually if he cultivates the way or Tao. He is spiritually richer and nearer to God though far in fulfilment worldly-wise.

The far (in worldly fulfilment) may be near (to true fulfilment of the spirit) and the near (in worldly fulfilment) may be far and end up with nothing. Those whom others think have nothing may end up having more though of spirit than of flesh. The far may be near and the near may be far. This did Lord Bo Tien reiterate.

Completeness and emptiness are vexations in life in the mundane world. True fulfilment is of the spirit
